Last month Nina did a very cool thing. Her very first Podcast! She was interviewed by one of her very fave Harlequin people, Toronto eHarlequin mogul Malle Vallik, about Nina’s June Silhouette Romantic Suspense release, KILLER TEMPTATION. In the Podcast, she talks about everything from the plot of the book, to continuities, to being an archaeologist. “It was incredibly fun to do, and came out really well I thought!”
The Podcast is available free to download from Collectik.com, or from Mediafly.com, or you can listen to it right on the eHarlequin.com website, or load it onto your iPod directly from iTunes (under Podcasts: Arts/Literature/Harlequin Author Spotlight: 14). She’d love to hear what you think of it!

The good news just keeps coming! Nina just found out she is a TRIPLE finalist in the 2008 Daphne du Maurier Awards. “Oh. My. God. This is such a thrill, I can’t even tell you how incredible this is!” she says. The Daphnes are put on by the Kiss of Death chapter of the RWA, in order to recognize the very best in romantic suspense fiction each year. Nina has won the overall Best Romantic Suspense Book of the Year award twice before, as well as three Series Contemp first place awards. This year she has three different books nominated in the Series Contemp category: NIGHT MISCHIEF (Silhouette Nocturne), THE FORBIDDEN ENCHANTMENT (Silhouette Romantic Suspense), and TOP-SECRET BRIDE (Silhouette Romantic Suspense).

Just got the news that Nina’s first ever Silhouette Nocturne, NIGHT MISCHIEF, has been nominated for this year’s Rita Awards, in the category Series Contemporary. “Wow! I really love this book. Probably one of my all-time personal faves. Needless to say I’m over the moon,” says Nina. The awards are announced in July, at the RWA National conference in San Francisco.
Speaking of which, Nina and her daughter will be driving cross country together (ROAD TRIP!!!) from Charleston to SF. Looking forward to great adventures. Nina says she can’t wait to see some of her own stomping grounds. Did you know she attended Cal State Sonoma? Yep. The original Granola State (or Space Station Sonoma as they used to call it). Great times were had by all.
